Frequently Asked Questions
If any of your questions are not answered below, email us at PCPDVirtualFairsInfo@gmail.com.
Q: I signed up for one of the fairs, but now I can’t attend. Should I cancel?
A: If you have signed up for a fair but are unable to attend, please email PCPDVirtualFairsInfo@gmail.com to let us know. We anticipate more demand than we may be able to accommodate at these events, so we appreciate the opportunity to open a registration for another attendee.
Q: I tried to sign up for a fair, but registration is closed. Is there a waitlist?
A: Each fair has a registration limit, but unfortunately there is not a waitlist for individual events. We encourage you to register for the next event as soon as sign-ups become available; see the registration dates above. Be sure to set yourself a calendar reminder for when future registrations open up! We expect strong demand for limited spaces in each event, so they may fill quickly.
Q: How will my contact information be used?
A: Your name, email, and other registration information will only be shared with the specific institutions whose booth you visit or Leave a Note with, or those you opt into receiving information from on the event Registration Form.
Attending the Fair
Q: I didn’t have time to chat with all the schools I wanted to. How can I connect with them?
A: When you register, you can opt in to receive information from any of our participating schools. During the fair, you can use the Leave a Note feature to leave a message at the booths you didn’t visit. Those schools will follow up with you after the event. After the fair, you can contact the programs directly at any time. Just use the Summer Study in the USA search tool to look up a school, then visit the programs’ websites for more information.
Q: I am registered to attend a fair, but when I try to chat with a booth, I can’t. Why not?
A: During the fair, there is a limit to how many people can be chatting with booth representatives at one time. We encourage you to review the program information in the booths while you wait for a space in the chat queue to become available. Use the Leave a Note feature in a booth, and that institution will contact you after the event.
